Nosotros Means Us by Paloma Valdivia is an adorable bilingual book that really shows the bond between a parent and their child. It was lovely seeing all the animal parent-child comparisons throughout the story. It really gave me a nostalgic feeling and reminded me of my own childhood and the experiences of growing up in a bilingual household. As I was reading the book, it brought back so many fond memories and it made me wish that more bilingual children's books like this had existed when I was growing up. All of the artwork throughout the story was really eye-catching and will definitely keep both parents and young children engaged through the reading experience. This book is also perfect for Spanish language learners as the vocabulary used is pretty simple and there are direct English translations in the text.

Nosotros Means Us escrito por Paloma Valdivia es un lindo libro bilingüe que realmente muestra el lazo entre una madre y su hijo. Me encantó ver todas las comparaciones entre diferentes madres e hijos animales a través del libro entero. Realmente me dió un sentimiento nostálgico y me recordó de mi propia niñez y las experiencias de crecer en un hogar bilingüe. Mientras estaba leyendo, me trajó muchos buenos recuerdos y me hizo desear que hubiera existido más libros bilingües juveniles como este cuando era pequeña. Todas las ilustractiones llamaban la atención y definitivamente el libro mantendrá tanto a los padres como a los niños pequeños enfocados en la lectura. Este libro también es perfecto para personas que están tratando de aprender español porque el vocabulario utilizado es bastante simple y hay traducciones al inglés en el texto.

Paloma Valdivia is a Chilean author/illustrator who studied design at the Pontificia
Universidad Católica Chile and has a master's in Creative
Illustration from the Eina School of Art and Design in Barcelona.
Her work as an author has been translated into 12 languages.
