Book Summary / Resumen del Libro:

A moving bilingual ode to the unshakeable bond between a parent and child in the tradition of Runaway Bunny and The Wonderful Things You Will Be.

If I were a sheep, you would be a lamb.
If I were a bear, you would be a cub.
As a mother holds her toddler, they muse over the way their love would translate if they were different animals. But no matter how they change, they will always be "us." This bilingual story is a timeless ode to the unshakeable bond between parent and child.

Review and Favorite Quotes / Reseña y Citas Preferidas:

Nosotros Means Us by Paloma Valdivia is an adorable bilingual book that really shows the bond between a parent and their child. It was lovely seeing all the animal parent-child comparisons throughout the story.  It really gave me a nostalgic feeling and reminded me of my own childhood and the experiences of growing up in a bilingual household. As I was reading the book, it brought back so many fond memories and it made me wish that more bilingual children's books like this had existed when I was growing up. All of the artwork throughout the story was really eye-catching and will definitely keep both parents and young children engaged through the reading experience. This book is also perfect for Spanish language learners as the vocabulary used is pretty simple and there are direct English translations in the text.

Favorite Quotes:
1. "Y un día te irías saltando. And one day you would hop away."
2."Y aunque nos viéramos algo diferente, siempre seríamos mamá e hijo. And Even though we would look different, we would always be mother and child."
